Articles - The Conflict of Peace

Peace is something that we all search for in our lives. For most of us with busy lifestyles peace is a moment in time. That moment when we come home from work, that very split second we close the door. In history peace has been moments in time, the moment of ceasefire on the battlefield. It seems impossible to have these moments of peace last. Being able to communicate with spirit, I asked the question so many of us would like to know. Why can't we live in peace?

The answer: We are here to learn as much as possible.

Thinking about what makes up mankind, we have to look at the needs of the individual. All of our needs are the driving force for our own personal growth, any feeling or desire you can think of is, so we move forward in our learning. Even our physical body with all of its limitations, is a vehicle for our learning. Each lifetime we lead, we hope, takes us closer to enlightenment.

It is possible to get stuck on the mission for personal growth. That's when our fear gets in the way. I believe it is our fear that leads to our lack of peace; it's only our trust that will banish that fear. To trust that what is ours will not pass us by. To let go the need to control and fear.

We substitute personal growth for comfort. It is always more comfortable to blame another for our own failings. Our personal learning will lead to peace, but for now it creates our conflict.
