People have asked me why it is that sometimes a reading doesn't work, and for some people it never works. Lucky for me at time of writing, working as a Psychic this has only happened a handful of times. I am normally well aware of a problem and have stopped the reading within quarter of an hour. The client doesn't pay. If you are having a reading and within 15mins the Psychic hasn't tuned into you DON'T pay and leave the reading. I wish I had done in the past, for readings I have had, rather than put up with a disappointing reading. When you are desperate for answers you will stay hoping it will get better. It won't, if they haven't formed an understanding of you in 15 minutes then save your money. When it's happened to me as a Psychic, it's just horrible; I can only compare it to how a man must feel when he can't even raise a smile! There can be many reasons for the energies 'not clicking' in a reading (and trust me, it's never that you are about to die and Psychic can't tell you!)
It is often tempting after a bad reading to dismiss the psychic as rubbish or a charlatan, and whilst this is occasionally regrettably true, even the world's greatest psychics will find themselves struggling in some situations. It is hard to explain what is happening when a reading does not work, just as it is often difficult to explain in everyday terms what is happening when a reading does work. Especially since each reading has a dynamic of its own and no two can be exactly alike. Put broadly though, a reading relies essentially on the flow of energy flowing between the Psychic, the Client and Spirit. When there is a block in the flow of energy, the reading won't work. This energy block can either be from the Psychic, the Client or, occasionally, from Spirit. It could be that the psychic is causing the block by their own life issues, we are human, or the block may be from Spirit, who always work for your best interests and may not wish you to hear something until you are ready. More often than not however, I have found that the block is coming from the client.
This can happen because maybe you want a reading, but don't want to be a part of that reading. By not wanting to give anything away, you don't allow the reader to have an open flow of connection. Of course you don't need to actually say very much. You could be behind a screen or 100 miles away on the end of a phone and say nothing. But if there is an open flow of connection energy by wanting the reading to be a success it will work. Your spirit guide won't communicate information if you are a private person. That's why when looking at other people in your life, sometimes I cannot see anything for them, because they wouldn't wish it. That gives people privacy from psychic spying, which I respect.
You can also block by not wanting to hear something bad. I've been blocked from looking at someone's relationship because they didn't want bad news whilst the rest of the reading was accurate.
Sitting with your arms folded with a demanding look on your face also doesn't help. At the end of the day my job is to help people, to admit to needing help is a hard thing to do. The most accurate readings are when someone really needs that help. Sometimes the information given to me by Spirit surprises even me in it's detail and accuracy. When someone comes to see me out of curiosity, the information may come across as bland, as there are no big earth shattering pieces of information. But I feel being told everything is running to plan, can be important to stop worrying. If there is nothing going on in your life, what can I tell you?
People sometimes say to me that they went for a reading and no future prediction came true. So they have come to see me. I don't believe in telling the future. I say this before every reading. 'Your future isn't set in stone', I can give you the most likely outcome based on action or lack of action of the advice I give you from spirit. This is due to the complete understanding and sense of perspective of your present. A sense of perspective that very few of us, myself included, are able to. That's due to the fact that we are learning. If we had all the answers what would be the point? A reading helps you find the answers but won't give you them. Many future predictions I have said have come true, but this isn't the rule. I was asked by a well known 'Lads' magazine to make six predictions about the Euro 2004 Football competition. I know nothing at all about football, yet I got four of the six questions right and one reader won five hundred pounds by placing a bet on one of my predictions.
The chalk board spirit has to give the information is the same chalk board that is imagination. Sometimes imagination is stronger than the information. This happens to every Psychic. As Psychic's we also have to give this information with out trying to interpret it, as our interpretation can be based on our own life's experience and not that of the clients. Try not to put pressure on the psychic and this is less likely to happen. Psychic's are people and under interrogation will respond like a person.
This may sound odd, but during a reading, I truly love my client. It's the unconditional love of Spirit, I'm energized by it. If that love isn't there, I won't read. That love can leave before the reading time is over. At this point I know the advice is coming from me rather than Spirit and I will say so. Spirit allows me to use my own skill of empowering and counseling which are also vital for the reading. Like any story, a reading must have a beginning (who you are as a person so I know I have connected with you), middle (all the reasons you have come to see me, without you having to ask any questions) and an end (help and empowerment with all these issues). It's hard to for me to remember anything I have said once the reading has ended as I don't normally remember readings after the event. I really hope this has helped understand what a reading is.
